Mark got home Tuesday night from his trip to Prague. It is so good to have him home again! Mark was only gone for 8 days but those 8 days seemed to take forever. Mainly because he was on the other side of the world which made it difficult to really communicate with each other because of the time difference. The few times we were able to chat over gmail or skype really helped make the time go faster.
I've always had a great appreciation for the men and women serving in the military! I now have an appreciation for their families as well. I'm sure having their loved ones gone for months on end is extremely difficult, not to mention the time difference and circumstances making communication extremely difficult. I know, that just as I.M. and Skype helped me while Mark was gone, those tools help these families so much more. Mark was only gone for 8 days, I can't even think of what it would be like knowing I wouldn't get to see him for months. To all the men and women who are serving and to those who have served, THANK YOU!!!! To all their families, thank you for always being there for them and being their incredible source of encouragement! Thank You!
